Time to get crafty with Adam and Co Designs

, by Debbie Hatumale-Uy, 11 min reading time

So I met Corynne from Adam & Co Designs on FB marketplace. I was trying to destash some blank Christmas Advent Calendars and as you do - we got to talking. Turns out we have kids similar age, both started businesses while on maternity leave, and literally live minutes from each other!

QUICK Q&A WITH ADAM and CO DESIGNS📝

Can you tell me a little bit about your business?

A new business that I stated when baby #1 was born. It has been just my Santa sacks that I designed and had manufactured until last year when I added laser cut Christmas items. This year I am adding products for the whole year and other occasions.

What are 5 random things about you? The randomer the better!

I am the eldest of 4 children

I am half South African

My first job was working in events at a hotel and I worked in events for over 10 years

My shoe size is a womens 10

I have travelled to the most northern tip of the Australian mainland at Cape York

How long have you been crafting? When did you start?

Started 4 years ago personalising itens for teachers gifts at Christmas time and loved it so much I then designed a style of Santa Sack and had it manufactured.

What are your favourite things to craft?

I love my Santa sacks - biased I know! I think because I designed them, when I put someone’s name on each one it brings a smile to my face! There are so many colour and font combinations that they always look different. I love seeing all the different names of everyone’s kids!

What is your favourite thing to craft/use from our range?

I’m so excited to personalize the Easter bunny bags and also give engraving a try!

Whats your number 1 hack/tip for anyone else starting out with crafting or business? For example, mine is reverse weeding after you take out all the in between parts (like inside your h's, o's etc!) - try it, its life changing haha

I’d say keeping your scraps! Or what you think are scraps, you never know when they will come in handy and save you one day!
